Parking an RV on the Street in Redondo Beach – You’ll Need a Permit

Want to park your RV overnight on the streets in Redondo Beach? You will most likely need a permit or risk paying a $125 fine.

In July of 2011, officers began enforcing restrictions of oversized vehicles including RV’s over 8 feet high and 7 feet wide, or in excess of 22 feet long. Registration and permits are available at the city of Redondo Beach’s Municipal Services Unit.

Space X Employee Housing in Hawthorne Area Takes Off

The rapid expansion of the Space X facilities in Hawthorne, California and resulting hiring of new employees has seen the need for housing in the South Bay, Los Angeles, and Hawthorne areas take flight.

Many of the new Space X employees are fresh college graduates, excited by the prospects of helping the company achieve the goal of improving space technology and furthering human travel and inhabitation of other planets. While the relocation package offered by Space X is an excellent benefit in the short term, it may not fill the need for long-term cost-effective housing close to work.
